Dr. Alicia Bolt was born and raised in Matamoros, Mexico, adjacent to the border with Brownsville. She has taught elementary through high school levels in both Mexico and the US, where she had the opportunity to serve schools as an elementary instructional facilitator, assistant principal, and high school principal.

Alicia takes special pride in supporting novice teachers through the Charles Butt Scholarship mentor program and is a 2012 Harvard Principal Institute alumni. With 18 years of service to public schools in the state of Texas, and six years in the state of Tamaulipas, she proudly joined Jubilee Academies in 2019 as an Associate Superintendent for the South Central Region and the Rio Grande Valley. Her main role and responsibility is to build capacity among campus principals and assistant principals to become effective instructional leaders.

She has earned numerous degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Construction as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Pedagogy with a minor in physics and math from Centro Universitario del Noreste, a Master of Education from Texas Pan American, and a Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Texas at Brownsville.
