Dr. Cheryl Henry
Cheryl T. Henry, Ed. D. has been an educator for 27 years. She is the principal at Cypress Springs High School in the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (Houston, TX). She is a native Californian and attended public schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Prior to becoming principal at Cypress Springs, Henry served as principal at Campbell Middle School, also in Cy-Fair. Her other positions include Dean of Students, Assistant Principal and Director of Instruction in Los Angeles and in Houston. Dr. Henry has served as the North Houston Regional Director for Raise Your Hand Texas since 2013. In this role she networks with other Houston area principals regarding legislative issues related to education and also shares best practices related to the improvement of academic achievement for Texas students.
Dr. Henry received her BA from UCLA, MA from Stanford, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University. She also studied at The Principals’ Center at the Harvard School of Education during the summers of 2012 -2015 and additionally served as a small group facilitator in 2014 and 2015.
