Felisha Hooks joined Raise Your Hand Texas in 2020 as the Programs Fellow, working specifically with the Charles Butt Scholarship program. Her role is to provide support to Charles Butt scholars with resources and support their collegiate academic journeys. For Felisha, her role at Raise Your Hand Texas fulfills her personal passion for helping people have the resources they need to achieve their goals. 

Prior to her current position, Felisha served as the assistant director of the Integral Care’s Infant Parent Program – ECI. She had also held roles there as a service coordinator/case manager and as an early intervention specialist serving infants and toddlers who have developmental delays and disabilities. 

Felisha graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000 with a bachelor’s of science degree in youth and community studies. She is currently enrolled at Seminary of the Southwest pursuing an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with the goal of becoming a licensed professional counselor (LPC).
