Lindsie Almquist serves as the Principal of Nadine Johnson Elementary in Hutto ISD. Lindsie attended Harvard AOL 2015 & has since supported RYHT in different ways. Lindsie brings leadership development and volunteer experience in the past 15 years where she has served and supported public education and nonprofits. Lindsie was part of a community-wide initiative to improve access to quality and affordable resources where she served as an educational partner. Her background involves launching a consortium, serving as a Texas Association of Secondary School Principals board member, and working as a elementary teacher, elementary assistant principal, Pre-K-12th grade principal, High School principal, director for school districts in the state of Texas, and most recently, as elementary principal.
Lindsie’s experience has served a multitude of students and districts through strategic planning efforts, budgeting, community partnerships, and leading several district-wide initiatives where each year the schools she has served have met standard with multiple distinctions. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Texas State University, and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at The University of Texas in Educational Leadership & Policy where she has been awarded the Michael P. Thomas Endowed Graduate Fellowship. Lindsie was the 2018 Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) Region 13 High School Principal of the Year, and is a part of Cohort 4 of the Texas Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (TALAS). Texas 4-H had Lindsie videoed as their Alumni Spotlight & she was a part of the Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) video training for Texas AEL Administrators training. Lindsie is also honored to be a wife to Cody and together they have Irish Twins, Miss Ellis and Mr. Briggs, who were both born in 2017.
