Zack Kleypas is a proud 2019 Raise Your Hand Texas alumni from the Improving Schools: The Art of Leadership Harvard Institute. Additionally, he has served as a Charles Butt Scholar Mentor since 2019. Zack has been in public education for 11 years as a high school math teacher, PLC lead, department chair, high school assistant principal, middle school principal, and currently serves as the principal of Pflugerville High School in Pflugerville ISD.
Zack is a proud member of the “fightin’” Texas Aggie class of 2010 (Whoop!), where he majored in mathematics with a double minor in coaching and in teaching for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. He went on to earn his master’s in public school administration from Texas State University in 2014 and completed his superintendent certification in 2016. He is currently pursuing his doctorate degree at Texas A&M in PK-12 Educational Administration with an expected graduation date of May 2022.
The only thing Zack loves as much as serving public school students is spending time with his own children and family. His beautiful wife Kayla was an exceptional elementary school teacher prior to staying home with their four children; Madelyn, Jaxson, Easton, and Harrison.
Zack is excited to serve the Raise Your Hand Texas alumni community and is committed to bringing his personal and professional mantra to “keep improving, always, in all ways” to the organization and its mission.
