It’s hard to believe the 7th Annual 2015 Raise Your Hand Texas “Campus to Capitol” Leadership Symposium has come and gone. This year’s event was a colossal success, commencing with the first-ever shuttling of principals (325 in all!) to the Texas State Capitol for face-to-face meetings with senators and representatives. The visit was an overwhelming success.
For the next two days, in the grand ballroom of the Renaissance Austin Hotel, internationally renowned experts spoke to conference attendees on topics ranging from the science and secrets of powerful storytelling to educational equity and excellence to strategies for addressing low-performing schools.
This was, hands raised, the most action-packed and productive symposium thus far!
Sure, the annual symposium is an opportunity for networking and good fun (there was singing by a speaker this year!) delectable dishes (that lemon tart was to die for!) and much-needed professional rejuvenation and personal relaxation (4-star hotel…hello?) But the event also represents our way of thanking you for the work you do as fiercely innovative leaders to advance public education for millions of students.

We can’t wait to see you next year!
