One district setting a prime example of how public schools are diversifying is Grand Prairie. Nearly half of the schools in the open enrollment district are schools of choice. Grand Prairie superintendent Dr. Susan Hull was one of the visionaries behind this movement. When faced with millions of dollars in budget cuts, the district got creative. The result was extraordinary.
