Andrea Fernandez

Andrea Fernández joined Raise Your Hand in December 2022 as the digital communications associate. As a member of the communications team she will work to advance the mission and reputation of Raise Your Hand Texas through social media and other digital communications strategies.

Fernández is a native of the Rio Grande Valley and uses her experience of living by the border to create inclusive communication strategies. She is an innovative strategic communicator with experience in bilingual writing, public relations, and digital communications. Additionally, her experience includes constituency building. Prior work included supporting The National Organization for Women as their local chapter president and working with various marketing agencies.

Fernández has a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Leadership from The University of Texas at Austin. She lives with her 15 year old pup named Secret and together they enjoy documentaries and yoga.
