Education Advocacy Academy
Raise Your Hand Texas is dedicated to building a strong, pro-public education constituency across the state. We provide pathways for educators, families, students, and businesses to become Education Advocates, using their voices to support the future of Texas schools.
Community Leaders Fellowship
Raise Your Hand Texas’ Community Leaders Fellowship is the premier program within the organization’s Education Advocacy Academy. The fellowship is designed to equip teams aligned with local independent school districts with the skills to effectively advocate for public education in their own communities.
Advocacy Summit
The annual Advocacy Summit is a deep-dive event that provides school leaders, board members, parents, and other community leaders with a roadmap, tools, and strategies that will help them amplify their voices and the voices of their communities to influence state education policy.
Our Statewide Advocacy Work:
- Shifts the narrative around public education to reveal the value it brings to millions of students
- Builds coalitions of support for public education
- Ensures every legislative session is a public education session
- Connects lawmakers and education stakeholders

Raise Your Hand Texas works in local communities and at the Texas Legislature to broaden and strengthen support for public schools.
We are focused on two core issues that impact every student, educator, and campus in Texas: school funding and the A-F accountability system.
