Presidio is a tiny town located in far West Texas. The nearest McDonald’s is nearly 90 miles away. It’s a remote community that lacks infrastructure — which leaves Presidio deep within the caverns of the digital divide.

Continuing on from our last Intersect Ed podcast episode, part two focuses on Texas communities hoping to close the gap between the haves and the have nots of the internet age. Hear from a superintendent, mayor, and VP of Community Investments on the importance of bridging the digital divide.

With conversations happening about virtual education options for the future, Texas must solve the digital divide and that solution rests on solving infrastructure and access issues. The solutions need to work for students in major metro areas as well as the students in the most rural communities.
