Raise Your Hand Texas Issues Statement on SB23/SB1410 (Patrick): New bill, New Name, Same Old Voucher

(AUSTIN, TEXAS) Raise Your Hand Texas released the following statement from CEO Dr. David Anthony on the filing of SB 1410 by Senator Dan Patrick (R-Houston) on Texas School Vouchers:

“SB 23/SB 1410 by Senator Patrick is disappointing, but not surprising. New bill, new name, same old voucher. These corporate tax breaks are government subsidies for private schools at the expense of Texas taxpayers and students—all with no accountability. We need solutions that benefit all 5 million Texas school children, and not just a privileged few.”
