Raise Your Hand Texas supports meeting the needs of individual students through equitable and high-quality pre-Kindergarten, mental wellness services, and wraparound supports. Improving where Texas ranks in overall child well-being should always be a goal for the Texas Legislature.
Making full-day pre-K available to all students of age in Texas public schools helps pave the way for all Texas children to get a jumpstart on their educational journey. Research shows that a high-quality all-day pre-K program has a significant impact on a student’s readiness for kindergarten by helping our youngest students adjust to the school environment and daily schedule.
