Interview Information

You should have received an email to select a time for an online video interview. Instructions for joining the interview are below, and all institutes have some pre-work to complete before the interview.

The questions asked during the interview will build off the essays and documentation submitted during the first round. Although it would be beneficial to review your materials, you do not have to invest time and energy in preparing. Our hope is that the interview is an open and honest conversation about what you are currently doing to improve teaching and learning on your campus and the ways in which you think this institute will help you achieve your goals.

Video Interview Instructions

After you have selected your time slot you will receive a confirmation email, usually in about two minutes. Please add the event with your GoToMeeting info to you calendar. Team leaders, don’t forget to share with your team.

  • Make sure to test your computer at least a day in advance of the video conference, in the location you will call from.
  • If you have Google Chrome installed, no download is required for the video call. If you can not use Google Chrome, you may have to install GoToMeeting on your computer to attend the interview.
  • You will need a strong internet connection (preferably plugged in rather than WiFi).
  • Please be sure you are connecting from a computer with a web camera positioned to view your team members.
  • We prefer that all team members be in the same room but they can also join the conference with the same link if needed.
  • Five (5) minutes before your interview, click the link from your email or calendar invite to join the conference. Please email if you can’t find the email.
  • Select either Phone Audio (recommended) or Computer Audio.

To submit the IPIP Survey, first follow the instructions at the link to take the survey. On the final results page, copy and paste all content into a Google Doc. Add your name to the top of the document, change the filename to ”(Your Last Name, First Name)-IPIP”, and share with
