Danielle Galatoire

Hometown: Sugar Land, Texas
University: UT Austin College of Education
Teaching Interest: Elementary School Special Education

While most people take years to decide what they want to be when they grow up, Danielle has always known that she wanted to be a special education teacher. She loves kids and the learning experience, so a career as a teacher has always seemed like the perfect fit.

Danielle grew up as a “third-culture kid,” spending most of her life traveling and being exposed to a variety of cultural influences. As a child, she did not enjoy her family’s constant travel. However, as she has matured, she has learned to appreciate the opportunities her childhood presented. Danielle is bilingual and believes her experiences in many different countries will allow her to connect with any student that enters her classroom.

When Danielle steps into the classroom, she is beyond excited to expand her knowledge of teaching children with special needs every day. She plans to make her classroom a place where students are eager to learn. Danielle said, “I believe that everyone has the right to be educated, and I feel so honored and blessed that I am one of the many future educators!”
