Teaching Interest: Bilingual Elementary Education

Recently, Judith made the decision and commitment to go back to school to get her degree in bilingual elementary education twenty years after graduating high school. She is proud to start at the University of North Texas at Dallas in the fall of 2019.

For the past 15 years, Judith has been a teacher’s assistant and now is ready to take her skills a step further. In doing so, she hopes she can make a greater impact on her students’ lives.

Judith’s parents are originally from Mexico and spoke only Spanish at home. Since Spanish was her first language, Judith was placed in a bilingual program for most of her schooling. As a bilingual educator, she will serve students who share this same experience. She wants to be a role model for her students and prove to them that they can achieve their dreams.
