Tess was chosen to be the lead teacher for her dance team’s annual summer dance camp one transformative summer. She was in charge of 100+ girls ages three to seven. She absolutely loved the experience and found it easy to command the girls’ respect and undivided attention. After receiving positive feedback from parents and her coach, she realized teaching could be her forté.
There was a time when Tess wasn’t performing as well as her peers due to circumstances at home. During that time, Tess felt like she was treated like she didn’t have the potential to expand her knowledge and skills. She wants her future students to always feel like she is invested in their learning experience, despite any obstacles they face along the way.
"Our job is not to prepare students for something. Our job is to help students prepare themselves for anything." - A.J. Juliani
