Raise Your Hand Texas resources can help you create your pro-public voting plan

Public education is on the ballot every election season and this has never been more apparent than the upcoming November election. As you think about casting your vote, please visit the new Raise Your Hand Texas webpage to make your voting plan and learn more about the candidates. Visit the webpage at

Raise Your Hand Texas is also excited to announce a series of For the Future candidate forums leading up to the November election. The forums will focus on the issues impacting public education and will feature various Texas House candidates.

Each event will include questions focused on statewide public education issues such as school funding and the state budget, assessment and accountability, and vouchers and charter schools. The candidates will also have the opportunity to answer questions about local issues affecting schools in their legislative districts.

To ensure adherence to local guidelines on public gatherings, there will be no live audience attendance at the events. The events will all be streamed via Facebook Live.
