Anne Lasseigne Tiedt, APR serves as the senior director of strategic communications for Raise Your Hand Texas. She joined Raise Your Hand in 2021 after working for more than 25 years in Central Texas as a public relations and marketing executive. She leads communications, advancing the organization’s mission and reputation in support of its strategic priorities across policy, advocacy, and legislative engagement.

Prior to Raise Your Hand, Tiedt honed her award-winning communications skills as co-owner of a boutique public relations and marketing firm, creating savvy, measurable marketing communication campaigns that helped organizations better themselves, their businesses, or their missions. She has also previously worked on staff at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the Austin Symphony Orchestra; led a team at a Texas-based public relations firm; and owned a public relations consultancy.

Tiedt is deeply involved in her community. In addition to numerous nonprofit volunteer positions, she is very proud to have volunteered in classrooms and on committees, booster clubs, and PTA board of directors at Austin ISD’s Clayton Elementary School, Baldwin Elementary School, Gorzycki Middle School, and Bowie High School. Tiedt has been a member of Women Communicators of Austin since 1996, and served as president of the organization in 2008-2009, founding the popular annual Get Smart event. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Austin Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and the Women’s Symphony League of Austin. 

Tiedt holds a Bachelor of Journalism in public relations and Business Foundations Certification from The University of Texas at Austin. She has held her Accreditation in Public Relations since 2003, is a graduate of Leadership Texas 2010, and earned her PESO Model Communications Certification from Syracuse University in 2020. 

She is a proud graduate of the Texas public school system and is the proud mother of two children who attended Texas public schools. She and her husband, Ryan, live in Southwest Austin.
