The Power of Pre-K with Amber Scanlan, PNC Bank

It’s not just students, parents, and educators who recognize the power of high-quality pre-kindergarten, both to building the foundation for learning and for leveling the playing field among student groups for kindergarten readiness. Our new video series features prominent Texans from a variety of industries and perspectives, all speaking to the importance of high-quality, full-day pre-K to Texas students, the educational and workforce pipelines, and the future economy of Texas.
In her role as SVP Director of Client and Community Relations at PNC Bank in Dallas, Texas, Amber Scanlan works to advance PNC’s community investments and initiatives around early childhood education. PNC recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of its Grow Up Great program. Grow Up Great is their flagship philanthropic program, a bilingual initiative to prepare children, particularly underserved children, from birth to age five for success in school and life.
Scanlan works with early education partners throughout Dallas/Ft.Worth community in addition to her advocacy role at the state level. “High-quality, full-day pre-K is a critical element in the early childhood education space.”
