Jane Shipwash

Serving as Executive Assistant and Office Manager, Jane joined the team in February 2020 to support the leadership team and staff at Raise Your Hand Texas. Jane is originally from Georgia, moved to Texas in 2000, and got to Austin as fast as she could for the music scene. She is a singer/songwriter and musician and was in a local band for several years that toured and played shows for SXSW and Austin City Limits.

Jane has her Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications from the University of Houston-Victoria. She has over 10 years of executive administrative experience and enjoys contributing to public education.

Jane is passionate about helping others achieve their goals, live music, reading and writing fiction. She is an avid advocate for children’s liberal arts and reading programs.
